Damein is currently serving as the Church Planting Intern with the church. While attending college at Indiana State University he felt
an internal call to vocational ministry and changed his major from Life Sciences/Biology to
Philosophy. He then began to search for seminaries to attend and was very attracted to the unique caliber and mix
of both scholarship and cultural engagement at Covenant Seminary. Damein is now pursuing his Masters of Divinity from that very school.

What's your vision for Refuge? My
vision for refuge is for refuge to become a place where people with
hard questions about life feel welcome to come and ask them. Then, for
the body of believers to seek to know what God has communicated to us
in the Bible, in such a way that their lives are radically changed by
it. Then to equip those people to engage their culture with the
Truth of the Gospel, which is the Story of how God has revealed Himself
to the world. The one word answer to this is called discipleship. |
