Allison grew up in the small Southwest Missouri town of Lebanon. She attended Southwest Baptist University where she received her degree in Elementary Education. Shortly after graduation she married Trey, and after a short hiatis in St. Charles they headed to Ft. Worth, TX for Trey to attend seminary. While there she
taught middle school. A youth ministry position ended up bringing Allison and Trey back to their beloved St.
Charles, and that is when their lives were blessed with a little red-head (Claira) and a ball of energy (Cooper). Today she serves in many roles but her primary focus is on Kids Refuge.
What's your idea of a perfect day?
Sipping a tall non-fat vanilla latte, no whip, at an outdoor cafe on a cool fall day.
How did you meet your husband? Trey and I met our freshman year at SBU. We had
a basic piano class together and got to know each other very well as we
met up to practice the piano. (We have both now mastered Chopsticks :))
Ironically enough, he totally surprised me and ended up proposing to me
in one of those practice rooms our senior year. He set up candles and
flowers and played "our song" before asking me to marry him!
Tell us about the fam: My
husband Trey and I were married in 1997 and have 2 children. Claira is
6 and is an expert kindergartener and Cooper is 4 and is very, very
busy.
